As we prepare to say goodbye to 2006, here are some photos of the events that stand out in my mind from this past year...
Spring Break trip to New York City and cruise from there to Disney World in March. No offense to Mac, but I probably would not do that over again with him! (before you judge me, have YOU taken a not-yet-two-year-old on a 10 day vacation?!)
*by the way, this photo of them at the beach ranks pretty high as one of my all-time faves of the kids...
LOVED visiting with my sister and her family in Alabama in July
One of the sweetest things Stephen has ever done was his suggestion that we throw a "welcome home" party for Taylor and Sarah after a weekend at their dad's back in September...Mac had been missing them terribly, so Stephen bought balloons, party plates and I made hamburgers and a chocolate cake! (we were also celebrating Sarah's decision to accept Christ as her Savior!)
which leads me to my next favorite event of the year:
Sarah made her profession of faith and got baptized in October :)
Mac's first trip to the zoo--with his 3, yes THREE girlfriends--also in October!
Also, I talked with Taylor just a few minutes ago, and what he said to me about the church ski trip he just returned from would definitely be a highlight of 2006. He was telling me about what an awesome worship experience it was and how much he enjoyed it, but the part that gave me goosebumps was when he said "I have never felt God in my heart the way I did on this trip."
I can hardly wait for 2007. I hope it is a year that brings many wonderful things for me and my family as we continue to seek God and His will for our lives. May God bless you and your family as well.
