My heart finds encouragement in many ways, but I would have to say that a lot of it has come from watching my 3 children grow in Christ. Most recently I have been encouraged by things like: finding my teenaged son praying at 2:00 in the morning; seeing an open bible lying next to my sleeping daughter; and being reminded by my five year old to say a prayer for him as I walk him to class.
I am greatly encouraged by a God who can do those kinds of things in the lives of my children, even when I have fallen short of being the kind of Mom--and wife, and daughter, and friend--I should be.
I guess the thing that gives me the MOST encouragement...is God's grace. And it encourages ME to offer much more of it to others.
"From the fullness of his grace we have all received one blessing after another." ~John 1:16
Do you need some encouragement today? Then check out (in)courage and you are sure to be blessed!
Well said ...God's grace. I guess I'd have to join you on that one for sure. I think this site is going to be great; I'm joining in this blog hop today too. Nice to meet you!
Blessings,
Debbie

Beautiful! I pray that my children will follow the same apparent path that your children are.
I stress over providing a good, biblical example to my kids more then I do about anything else.
Your blog is lovely BTW!

I love this! I too have seen signs of encouragement in my family, when I feel discouraged personally. My step dad recently volunteered to help keep his church yard mowed. This is a huge step. Recounting God's blessings and paying attention to what he is doing in the lives of others is wonderful encouragement. Thank you for this.
