About Me

  • I am a wife and a stay at home mom and a follower of Christ. I live in the South and I love my home and my family and I think my church is an incredible place to be. I am very blessed. Every single day I am amazed at God's great love and redeeming power. My greatest thrill is encouraging others with stories of how He has proved Himself faithful over and over in my life...which makes it a very sweet life!

Good questions! I think I tend to get my ideas of what I should be like from other women that I am around--not always a good thing. The Bible is definitely the best source! I remember a saying, "to compare, is to despair" and I know that's what I tend to do if I look for a pattern/identity/marriage/home to follow in someone else (even a godly woman's). What conclusions did you draw after meditating on this, Amy?

Hey Sandy!
I believe I AM guilty of getting my ideas about the "IDEAL" home, marriage, woman, etc from various forms of media.
And after thinking probably way too hard about this, I realize it's because we're BOMBARDED by it! It's everywhere. And if I'm honest, I have to admit it's much easier to conform to the world's standards than to God's.
Which is another good reason to spend time regularly in His Word. If we don't, we get too caught up in the temporary instead of the eternal.
Miss you Sandy! Thanks for stopping by!
