About Me

  • I am a wife and a stay at home mom and a follower of Christ. I live in the South and I love my home and my family and I think my church is an incredible place to be. I am very blessed. Every single day I am amazed at God's great love and redeeming power. My greatest thrill is encouraging others with stories of how He has proved Himself faithful over and over in my life...which makes it a very sweet life!

Well Amy, I've only just met you (thanks to Holley) and arrived here to find you already know me awfully well! How is it that you are writing about me and my struggle to finally, once and for all overcome weight and discipline issues? :) Thank you for being so brave and honest and for bolstering my courage and desire to make the same decisions you're making, claim the power of the truth you're standing on and to trust God to make me better than I was yesterday and better still tomorrow! Looking forward to following your writing!

Sigh. It's an ongoing challenge.

You have my empathy.

BTW, congrats on your Lovely Lady - Lovely Blog nomination.

You CAN do it!!! You have overcome bigger obstacles.
I know you WILL succeed...I have no doubt!!

Wow! You made some big moves--and I am impressed! Throwing away food is hard for me too, but what you are saying makes sense. I am always praying that too--Lord, make me a wise steward of my time, talent, and money/resources, but I don't pay the close careful attention to what I allow into my life. I am going to give closer attention to all of these details in the future. As for the weight issue, that is something I struggle with too, Amy, but we can overcome in Him!
