About four years ago I quit doing something I LOVED. I stopped blogging. It was not an easy decision, but I knew without a doubt that God was prompting me. Something that I'd started with the best of intentions had slowly but surely turned into an idol. Sadly, my passion for sharing the hope and joy I'd found in Christ evolved into a craving for the applause of others--and that is a craving that's never satisfied.
Today marks the beginning of a new chapter. My hope for this NEW blog is that it is a comfortable place that points its readers to the only One worthy of our applause--Jesus Christ.
Will you join me as I seek daily to release my grip on the things of this world and hold fast to the hand of my very Best Friend and Savior? He had to do a lot of pruning in my life to help me understand that HE is enough.
Amy,
I am asking God to bless this new venture in ways you cannot even imagine. Your steadfast love for Him above all else shines through in everything I see you post. I was drawn to your tweets in the beginning because you were so real and it was refreshing. I pray that as you are transparent and vulnerable, your posts here will have the same effect on others that you have had on me. You make me think about things on a different level. You challenge me to always put God first. You have shown me the importance of being a person willing to pray for others and really mean that you are praying. God has already been glorified through your postings elsewhere, and I am sure this will be no different. Blessings, my friend!
